Welcome
piggfeed, formerly diggress, is the ultimate RSS 2.0 feed for digg.com. It is designed to give the user exactly what he/she wants in an RSS feed and to save time and clicks. piggfeed automatically caches all active feeds so even when diggTM is "temporarily unavailable" you can still find the stories. I'm glad to be providing a service that you find useful. So, let me know if you like piggfeed, or if you have other feature suggestions / general comments.

    Base Features:
  • each item links directly to the article
  • displays the domain of the article as the author, not the user who submitted it
  • display the current number of diggsTM
  • link to the digg page with the current number of comments
  • links to DuggMirror, DotCache, Coral Cache, and Google Cache

  • Optional Features:
  • hide the extra links with the Minimalist option (good for PDA users).
  • pseudo-diggTM-style "pigg-it" button (you'll need a Firefox Extension I wrote for the occasion to actually digg-itTM) - NOTE: This feature is currently inactive because I am in the process of moving, check back for updates.
  • embed large thumbnail of images in the feed (when it is a direct link)
  • embed video from: Youtube, Google Video, Metacafe, College Humor, Game Trailers, Putfile, Flicklife, LiveLeak, view.Break, and Xoinks in the feed

  • Filters:
  • set minimum and/or maximum requirements for the number of "diggs"
  • filter out particular topics (e.g: baseball, microsoft, playable web games)
  • remove items from the feed with "NSFW" or "not safe for work" in the title or body

  • Recent Updates:
  • all of the game categories (PC, Wii, PS3, 360) are now supported
  • the feed chooser is now compatible with Internet Explorer (IE doesn't always know the difference between an id and a name, and I didn't realize that was a problem)
